Spinal bifida question?

My niece is 17 weeks pregnant and had the test done to find out if there was a likelyhood the baby would have any sort of defect. The test came back positve for spinal bifida. I was wanting to try to comfort her, this is her first baby and she has already has such a hard time. Has any other Moms on YA had a baby with spinal bifada and what did you do to comfort your fears and feelings of doing something wrong . She knows she will love and treasure the baby no matter what, and God has blessed her. I just want to reassure her that it will be OK. Any advice or personal stories are appreciated. Thanks everyone.
